Today Is My Monday

Today is it. It’s time to get rid of ALL the excuses. It’s time to make shit happen! I have made out a eating plan and also a workout plan. It’s time to get real.

Life has been crazy since my last post. (Update post will be live soon) I need someone to hold me accountable. If you are on Instagram – follow me. (beinspired_betrue) I am going to start posting meals (once a day), fit bit stats daily and workouts!

I have to do something. I am tired of not feeling great about myself. I am also tired of being tired all the time. This could attribute to my possible thyroid issue. (more on that after April 13) But I know that when I change my habits, I will start to feel better. I know that I need to do this. I just get bored  and then the motivation leaves. If I could get my brain to realize I won’t see change over night. I didn’t get this way over night!


So here’s to today!




2016 Goals

Now that 2015 is over it’s time to get down to business! I am going to make 2016 MY year! Some of the bad habits have crept back in throughout the last 2 months (thank you holidays!!!) and I can feel it; mentally and physically. It’s my time to shine!

I am not one to keep or make “resolutions”. To me it means to resolve something and I am not resolving anything, I am setting goals for myself. Goals that I can obtain. Goals that I can create to make myself better both physically and mentally.

The goals I have for 2016 are:

  1. Make time for myself – This is important because I truly believe that I’m order for myself to become healthy I need to take the time for some me time every once in awhile.
  2. Lose 52 lbs – Why 52? That gives me the realistic goal of 1 lb a week! I will not stress on the number of the scale. I am only going to weigh myself once a month and I will keep track of it.
  3. Drink more water – This has been lacking a lot in the last 2 months. I have needed caffeine and I am seeing the bad habits of having a can of pop or worse yet resorting to the worse (energy drinks).
  4. Get organized – I am OCD in the organizing dept and I have been slacking and it is bothering me something fierce.

Whole 30 – Week 1

Today I start the Whole 30 challenge (with @gettinghealthy09 on IG). Today I take steps into my new healthy lifestyle. Today I meal prep for the week and if you are following me on IG you will see all the pictures of the delicious food I will make for my first week. I also made a menu template so that I have no excuses.


I am hopeful this time but I am also nervous. I know that when I start to deprive myself of foods that I normally would eat, then I crave them. I am also nervous because sugar is my weakness. I mean you name it…cakes, doughnuts, candy, chocolate, ice cream. I have THE BIGGEST sweet tooth ever! AHH!

So make sure you are following along on my journey through the next 30 days. I will apologize now for things that are said during the sugar withdraw! LOL — I will not sugar coat (pun intended) any post through this journey. I will be honest with every thought, every struggle, every accomplishment. So wish me luck and here goes nothing!

Whole 30 – Take 2

If you have been following my blog you know I’ve attempted the Whole 30 before and failed miserably because I couldn’t stand the sugar withdrawal. The migraines were unbearable.

I am teaming up with a fellow IG’er {@gettinghealthy09} and starting November 1, we are tackling the Whole 30 head on. This time my plan is to get through the whole 30 days. I will not fail this time! I am feeling really determined to actually finish and reap the benefits of a healthier me.

In the next few weeks, I will be purchasing the books on the Whole 30, planning out my whole month of meals so I have no excuses and also starting to limit my sugar now so its less of a shock to my system.

5 Ways to Stay Motivated

We are into the second month of 2014. Are you starting to lose motivation with your weight loss or fitness goals? Here are some ways to get more motivated during the month of February!

1. Search for a new workout. Every so often its a good idea to change up the way you work out. Routine not only makes your workout boring but also doesn’t “confuse” your muscles.

2. Make a inspiration board or collage that you will see everyday. It gives you the ability to remember where you want to go in the fitness/weight loss journey! This one was my favorite that I have seen so far. It may very well be on my Pinterest Arts and Crafts To Do List!!

3. Find a challenge for the month. There are tons of different challenges that you can find on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. This month I am participating in to different challenges. One is from FitApproach and Lorna Jane. And the other one is on Instagram. Search the hashtags #mnbchallenge and#stopandgivemethirty

4. Engage in a support group. There are many different groups on line that are available. A few of the groups that I am apart of are linked on my sidebar. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed. There are so many ways to get support and everyone is so supportive in the groups!

5. Workout with a friend. When you workout with a friend you are less likely to have an excuse to avoid your goals. Hold each other accountable. Make a weekly plan for what you want to do, whether it means going to the gym, going for an outdoor walk, or meeting at either your house or theirs and getting through that workout dvd together. Motivate each other!
